Prepare yourself for what is to come!!!!!
The reception area. We had 9 posters on the wall in this area, all for Daikatana, Deus Ex, Anachronox and Dominion.
This was our conference room - we'd hold all kinds of meetings in here. The glass was bulletproof and just by pressing a button, steel panels would lower from the ceiling to the floor in front of all the windows (outside the room).
We were having a CPL meeting this day...
The corner of the conference room where we'd usually put the catered food for the meetings
The biz area - Marketing Exec, COO and CFO were in here.
The other end of the biz area
Cubicles - all of them exactly the same. This area was for what's called "back office" - secretaries, web guys, etc.
More cubes (back office)
This is the top of the cubes looking down from my area - those panels were supposed to keep out the sun. The funny joke was had by all for years.
Here's our movie room - we had DSS, DVD, VHS and direct hookup to a video editing room right next door where we made our videos for E3, web, etc.
The projector on the ceiling was $50,000. Very nice one. All the seats were super comfy leather.
This is looking down the hall on one side of the office. The other hall is on the other side of the building.
Small office for execs flying into town (Eidos, design groups, etc.)
The rec area....we had 3 arcade machines (changed out every so often), ping pong and pool. The foosball table was in another area.
The small kitchen and stacks of sodas. The sodas were kept in 3 drink stations in the building - the kind you see at the 7-11.
The deathmatch area! Eight computers, all networked together with games loaded on them. Above the DM area was the motion capture stage (all wood, no metal).
Here's looking down the side at a few more cubes we installed when we got even bigger.
Looking up at mo-cap and the glass ceiling.
Looking down onto the mo-cap stage. I think we used this a few times.
Another small table people usually ate lunch at.
Bank of 12 TVs that you could individually set to specific channels or inputs. This was also directly tied into the deathmatch area so you could have all 8 people on these TVs. Great for tournaments.
Here's looking down that same hall from the other end. On the left are the bathrooms which had music piped in.......to cover up .......noises.
Looking up from the biz section.
Comparision chart of Dallas downtown skyscraper heights.
Here's the Ion building from the outside. We were on the very top 2 floors.
