Style:

HDB was our first game at Monkeystone Games, written primarily for the PocketPC in 2001. It took 4.5 months from concept to shipping and we worked insanely hard on it but it was a great experience. Eventually, HDB would be released on PC, Mac, and Linux too. A Gameboy Advance version was also finished but never released by Majesco.

Romero > This photo was taken the night of December 23, 2001 at around 2:30am when Tom and Lucas left for the night after we mastered HDB and prepared it for upload.

Way out in the country where Monkeystone was located we had a very slow uplink so Lucas took it home on his USB keychain to upload from his home DSL line. That's him and Tom goofing around delirious after insane hours of crunch!

Romero > Here's a screenshot of the first Win32 program I wrote, TED 2001, the tilemap editor Tom used to create all of HDB's maps.

I wrote some crazy shit in the About... dialog and you'll see an old version of a room that Tom made using his own graphics.
